Download firmware for the Core Tap and Tap Point. For installation instructions, compatibility notes, and older releases, see the product sections below.

Important: Install firmware only on the product for which it was released. Firmware for the Core Tap and Tap Point is not interchangeable.
Download firmware only from this page. Do not modify the firmware file. Keep both devices powered on until the update finishes and the device reboots.
¶ Core Tap Firmware
¶ Install an Update
- Download the latest Core Tap firmware above.
- Open the Core Tap web interface and select System.
- Under Firmware, click Browse and select the downloaded
.binfile. - Click Upload Firmware.
- Wait for the upload and installation to finish. Do not power off the Core Tap during the update.

¶ Tap Point Firmware
¶ Install an Update
- Download the latest Tap Point firmware above.
- Open the Core Tap web interface and select Tap Point.
- Under Firmware Update, click Browse and select the downloaded
.binfile. - Click Upload to Tap Point.
- Wait for the transfer and flashing process to finish. Do not power off either device during the update.
The Core Tap transfers the firmware over the wired connection, so the Tap Point does not need to be connected directly to a computer. See Tap Point Firmware Update for the complete procedure.

¶ Before Updating
- Confirm that you downloaded firmware for the correct product.
- Back up Core Tap settings before installing Core Tap firmware. See Settings Backup & Restore.
- Keep the Core Tap and Tap Point connected and powered throughout an update.
- Install any compatibility-matched Core Tap and Tap Point releases together when the release notes require it.
